Polycompound sets another milestone in sustainable energy savings

Polycompound AG (CH-4450 Sissach, www.polycompound.ch) successfully completed another significant energy-saving project at the beginning of 2025. A photovoltaic system with a capacity of 170 kWp was in-stalled on an existing building of the company. As a result, the total installed PV capacity on Polycompound’s roofs has increased to nearly 400 kWp.

With this measure, Polycompound once again emphasizes its commitment to sustainable energy savings and responsible resource management. The new PV system contributes significantly to increasing sustaina-ble energy generation at the site – despite the fact that Polycompound has been relying exclusively on re-newable energy sources since 2024.
“Investing in renewable energy is an important step in our long-term sustainability strategy. With the new photovoltaic system, we are setting another milestone in our efforts to reduce energy consumption and pro-mote sustainable technologies,” says Jan Schweizer, CEO.

About Polycompound
Polycompound AG from Sissach, Switzerland produces tailor-made special and standard compounds to order for its international customers. The company does not have its own product portfolio, but rather only produces products according to customer recipes while complying with the strictest secrecy – from small scale production at kilogramme scale to hundreds of tonnes. Annual production is 8,000 – 12,000 tonnes per year. The company was founded in 1988 and today employs around 70 workers. The production facilities are equipped with seven continuous kneaders in separate spaces.
