Who are we?
We carry out production of everything from small quantities to several hundreds of tonnes in strict confidentiality.
In the 1980s, Buss AG in Pratteln (CH), a manufacturer of continuous mixing and kneading systems, decided to focus on its core business: the manufacturing of machines. Staff of Buss AG at the time used the ‘compounding’ division as a basis for establishing their own business, founding Polycompound AG as an independent joint-stock company in May 1988.
In the start-up phase, the company processed up to 1,500 tonnes of compounds per year using one or two systems. Since then, gradual expansion to four production systems and three laboratory kneading machines raised annual capacity to 10,000 to 12,500 tons. The success story was continued with the succession planning from 2007 and the transfer to new ownership. Polycompound AG is now an independent business and will remain in private ownership in the future.
